GUARDIAN BOREHOLE PUMP CONTROLLER

Guardian is an electronic control device for the manual operation and automatic control of water pumps.

Guardian has the following functions ( in standard installation):

1. ON-OFF switch (direct DOL)
2. Overload protection
3. Missing phase protection
4. Surge protection.
5. Short circuit protection
6. Dry running operation protection

Guardian displays the following operating conditions with its LEDS:

1. In operation (green) [ON]
2. Water level too low (yellow) - automatic restart test [STAND BY]
3. Dry level (red) - motor disconnected [NO WATER]
4. Overload (red) - motor disconnected [OVERLOAD]

After removing the reason for the detected alarm, the motor can be manually
switched on again, which re-enables the automatic protection.

Guardian has the following advantages:

1. All motors between 0.37kW and 11kW can be controlled with one system in 3 versions.
The adjustment of the rated overload cut-out current is done by means of a scaled potentiometer inside the box.

2. In case of a missing phase, overload, surge or short-circuit current the system disconnects the motor [OVERLOAD].

3. The water level is not controlled with an error prone and costly electrode but via changes in the Cos (power factor)

4. In case of dry operation the system checks automatically 4 times (after 10/20/45 and 90 min),
whether the water level permits an auto-restart [STAND BY]
Thereafter the motor stays disconnected [NO WATER]

5. The system can be linked to pressure switch, level control device, alarm signals, timers etc.

6. The commands are transmitted in low voltage.
