We always recommend getting pumps installed by a qualified plumber.
The pump should be installed in an enclosed environment, or at least sheltered from inclement weather. The pump cannot be allowed to get wet or to freeze.
Other Products you may need
If you would like the pump to operate by switching it on and off then you will need to wire it to a fused spur.
If you would like the pump to operate automatically when a tap is opened, or a trigger on a hose is pressed then you will need a pressure controller. We recommend either the BRIO TANK
or the PRESFLO
or PRESFLO MULTI
. When attached to the outlet of the hose, before the first draw off of water the pressure controller will automatically start and stop the pump. These also protect the pump from dry running and from current overload.
If you would like the pump to operate to re-fill a tank, then a float switch could be used. Please call or email us if you would like any advice on what to use, or need the fittings to attach everything together.
