Negative head pumps with automatic switching


These pumps are designed for use in "Negative Head" situations. I.E. where the pumped outlet (shower head) is in a position level with or above the level of the cold water storage tank.

These pumps are designed for use in "Negative Head" situations. I.E. where the pumped outlet (shower head) is in a postion level with or above the level of the cold water storage tank.

Power Shower Pump Guidance

Making sure you use the right pump solution for your shower application can be confusing. If you need help choosing the right type of pump for your application click on and follow our pump choosing guide below.

Start by knowing which type of boiler system you have installed.

Then you need to know if the water supply tank is above the level of your shower head (Positive Head) or below the level of your shower head (Negative Head). If the bottom of your water tank is level with the shower head this is Negative Head as well.

Finally the type of shower or number of showers you need the pump(s) to supply determines how powerful a pump you need.

NOTE: It is not feasible to place a pump between a combi boiler/mega flow and shower head. The only practical solution is to increase the water pressure at source. (see our all-in-one pump and tank solutions >>).
